An AEW wrestler who is holding a championship has been away from television due to something other than an injury.

At the Big Business episode of AEW Dynamite on March 13th in Boston, current ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion Jay White defeated Darby Allin in a very competitive match.

After the match was over, Jay White along with The Gunns (Colten & Austin Gunn) turned on their Bang Bang Scissor Gang allies The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) and The Gunns’ father Billy Gunn.

Since that attack, White has been absent from TV during Dynamite episodes that took place in Toronto and Quebec City.

According to Fightful Select, “Switchblade” Jay White (who is from New Zealand) currently can’t work in Canada due to his visa.” It’s expected that White will return when AEW is back in the US.

It was also mentioned that even though White has appeared in videos with The Gunns, those were pre-filmed to keep him on the show without him being active.

When Did Jay White Challenge For AEW World Championship?

During his one year run in AEW as a full-time wrestler, White has formed the Bullet Club Gold group with Juice Robinson and The Gunns. That alliance has led to White being used favorably during most of his time in the company, including when he challenged MJF for the AEW World Title at Full Gear 2023.

White failed to become All Elite Wrestling World Champion that day, but he did prove that he was a top star just like when he was in NJPW where he held the IWPG World Title earlier in his carer.
