Cody Rhodes Identifies WWE Megastar He Wants To Eliminate From Royal Rumble

Cody Rhodes is one of the names announced for WWE Royal Rumble 2026. 

Drew McIntyre dethroned The American Nightmare as the Undisputed WWE Champion on January 9th, 2026, in a Three Stages of Hell match. However, the contract stated that there would be no rematch.

If Rhodes wants another match, he has to win the Royal Rumble men’s match.

Cody Rhodes wants to eliminate ‘The Beast’

Ahead of WWE Royal Rumble, The American Nightmare appeared on ESPN. He was asked if he had any particular name or names in mind whom he absolutely wanted to eliminate.

While Cody Rhodes said he wants to take out the top superstars, he specifically has his sights on Brock Lesnar, since he thought the feud was over, but apparently not!

Of the ones who we know that are in it because there’s going to be a myriad of surprises. We know who’s declared already. I think you should look no further than the top of the heap at WWE.

And that’s going to be somebody like a Brock Lesnar, somebody like a Roman Reigns who has also both won Royal Rumbles prior. I think I’d like to get Brock Lesnar if I could get anyone. I had his last match before he came back and wrestled John Cena. I thought we ended this thing. Apparently, we did not. But I’d like to be the one to throw that guy out.

Fans can expect a blockbuster match for the men’s Royal Rumble match, given that Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and Brock Lesnar will be in the ring together. These are the same men who battled at Survivor Series WarGames.
