Roman Reigns Shockingly Buries WWE’s Next Top Star

Roman Reigns was last seen on WWE TV at Survivor Series WarGames 2025. He is reportedly due for a return at Royal Rumble 2026 as a part of the men’s match. 

In his last match, The OTC joined the babyfaces to take on The Vision and Brock Lesnar. Unfortunately for the babyfaces, Austin Theory interfered in the match and cost them the victory.

Before leaving the steel cage, Reigns teased a feud with Cody Rhodes. However, Triple H has scrapped Reigns vs. Rhodes for WrestleMania 42 to avoid fan fatigue over the storyline.

Roman Reigns takes a jab at Bron Breakker

Ahead of coming back to WWE TV, Roman Reigns appeared on The Pat McAfee Show. During the conversation, McAfee informed the former Undisputed WWE Champion that some people are saying Bron Breakker’s Spear is the best in the history of wrestling. Given that it’s also The OTC’s finisher, some feathers were ruffled.

The OTC took a jab at Bron Breakker and claimed that Reigns is Mozart and Breakker is someone running down the ramp. While he did appreciate The Badass for being a great athlete, he shot him down by reminding the young superstar not to get nervous on national television.

We’re talking about the Spear, bro. Come on now. Like, you talking to Mozart here. I create real art. It’s not just about running down a ramp and flying through the air and hitting somebody. But he’s a great athlete. I mean, but we all are, you know what I mean? And as you get older, you got to evolve. You got to earn all the different nuances to this game.

You got to sharpen every blade in, you know, in your set. Um, so I think Breaker’s got a hell of a future in front of him. As long as he kind of stays out of my, you know, my wheelhouse of what I’m trying to do, I think he’ll be all right. Uh, but he’s still got a lot, you know, a long ways to go. I’d love to see him not get nervous on ESPN and, you know, get quiet on you because I think there’s a lot of personality there.

I got to fight back, you know? We can’t just let these kids, calling us old, and you know what I mean? So, I got to, you know, I mean, we got to come back. Don’t get nervous on national television, son. You know what I mean?

Roman Reigns and The Badass have not yet faced each other in a singles match.
