Cody Rhodes Is Optimistic Going Into WrestleMania 42
Cody Rhodes is yet to secure his WrestleMania 42 spot.
He has the opportunity to do the same at Elimination Chamber, if he can win the men’s match.
The American Nightmare is going up against LA Knight, Randy Orton, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Logan Paul. The Maverick has been confirmed as Jey Uso’s replacement for the men’s match.
Cody Rhodes opens up about WrestleMania 42
Ahead of Elimination Chamber, Cody Rhodes had an interview with Mostly Sports. In that conversation, he opened up about WrestleMania 42 and the unpredictable nature of the show this year.
Enjoy the season. It’s unpredictable this year. I know there’s a little bit of impatience in general, what are the matches — it’s a Road To WrestleMania and I think what Triple H will — I think there’s a sleeper WrestleMania emerging if that makes any sense. Sometimes the tenures are very obvious, sometimes the big staple pieces like John Cena’s final [Mania match]. I think we’re sitting on a sleeper mania here. [H/t: Fightful]
The only two matches confirmed for WrestleMania 42 before Elimination Chamber are Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship and Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship.
