CM Punk’s Camp “Not Happy” With The Elite’s Mocking On Dynamite

CM Punk

A new report suggests that there are those close to CM Punk very unhappy following The Elite seemingly mocking Punk on Dynamite.

Dynamite in Chicago was going to prove an interesting test for The Elite as they returned to CM Punk’s hometown for the first time since their alleged backstage fight following the All Out pay-per-view in early September.

The crowd audibly booed the group and chanted for CM Punk during their entrance, but The Elite had more up their sleeve during their best-of-seven series bout with Death Triangle. During the match, Kenny Omega used CM Punk’s Go To Sleep taunt before hitting PAC with the move. In reference to Ace Steel supposedly biting Omega during the fight, Omega was also seen biting the former All-Atlantic Champion.

Not to be left out, Matt Jackson fell to the mat when attempting to connect with Hangman Page’s Buckshot Lariat. Many have taken this as a dig at Punk, following his failure to hit the move in his AEW World Title match with Page at Double Or Nothing.

Now, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer has noted that the match was definitely on the radar of some of those close to CM Punk:

“Man, I know there’s people close to CM Punk, boy were they not happy with that six-man tag match.”

Death Triangle picked up the victory in the match, meaning that the AEW Trios Champions move to 2-0 in the series.
