CM Punk Called A “Fraud” By WWE Hall Of Famer

CM Punk

A WWE Hall of Famer has called CM Punk a fraud while taking other shots at the former AEW World Champion.

The June 7th edition of AEW Dynamite featured yet another announcement from the man that loves announcements, AEW’s CEO & GM Tony Khan. This announcement let us know what the main event will be for the debut episode of AEW Collision on Saturday, June 17th from the United Center in Chicago.

That main event match will see CM Punk make his in-ring return in a tag team match with the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) against the team of ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White & Juice Robinson.

For CM Punk, it will be his first match since All Out in September 2022 when he won the AEW World Title from Jon Moxley for Punk’s second World Title reign. Later that same night, Punk

While it took several months for AEW to agree to bring Punk back, the main reason he has missed so much time is that he tore his triceps during that match with Moxley. That meant surgery and a lengthy rehab of about eight months. It is now nine months since that match took place, so Punk is likely cleared to compete again.

CM Punk has a lot of fans all around the world, but there are plenty of critics too, including WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, who had some harsh comments about Punk on Twitter recently.

It started with Eric Bischoff reacting to a tweet about Punk by saying that Punk isn’t over enough and that being in a tag team match protects how fragile CM Punk is.

When a fan asked Bischoff about it, he said that he “dislikes frauds” referring to CM Punk.

At this point, CM Punk is only being advertised for AEW Collision shows rather than Dynamite. It doesn’t appear that AEW is going to have a hard roster split although that has been rumored in the past.
