Chris Jericho Abandons Trademark As WWE Rumours Grow
Chris Jericho has been making the headlines for a potential jump back to WWE.
As per reports, Jericho’s AEW contract is coming to an end, and he might move back to WWE after the end of the current contract.
While nothing is set in stone, if he does return to WWE, it could become one of the most glorious returns in the company’s history.
Chris Jericho’s trademark filing was declared abandoned
If there is one thing fans know about Chris Jericho, it’s that he files for trademarks quite frequently. Usually, the idea is to make the most out of his catchphrases and nicknames.
More often than not, those filings end up being abandoned due to a variety of reasons. Recently, one of his trademark filings has been abandoned once again.
He filed to trademark ‘The Jericho Vortex’ in April 2025, but as of October 2025, it was declared dead and abandoned.
The abandonment notice was filed by USPTO due to “FAILURE TO FILE TIMELY SOU OR EXTENSION REQUEST.”
The application above is abandoned because we did not receive within six months of the Notice of Allowance (NOA) issue date:
(1) A Statement of Use (SOU); or
(2) A Request for Extension of Time to File a Statement of Use (Extension Request).
Chris Jericho has two months if he wants to revive the filing.
