Chelsea Green Addresses Rumored Wardrobe Malfunction On WWE SmackDown
Chelsea Green had a forgettable appearance on WWE SmackDown last week.
Green has been involved in a feud with former Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, who fought Kairi Sane in a singles match on the show.
Chelsea Green, meanwhile, was on commentary along with her enforcer, Alba Fyre. Due to her foot injury, the 34-year-old has been in a wheelchair with a boot strapped around her leg for safety.
One of the spots included Sane climbing to the top of the turnbuckle for an aerial maneuver. However, Stratton shoved her off the turnbuckle, which led to the Pirate Princes crash landing on Fyre.
Unimpressed, Green got in her face. Seeing Stratton distracted, Sane attempted another kick off the ring apron; however, Stratton ducked, and Sane inadvertently knocked off Green.
As is the case, accounts on social media claimed that the Canadian superstar suffered a wardrobe malfunction on her way down.
However, the former Women’s United States Champion cleared the air by brushing it off as a rumor on Instagram.
WWE Looking To Save Face After Chelsea Green Controversy
Season 2 of WWE: Unreal contained a segment where producer Michael Hayes undermined Chelsea Green by claiming that her position in the company is to make other wrestlers superstars.
The WWE Universe, on the other hand, believes that Green is tailor-made to hold championships and deserves a push, a sentiment that was echoed by The Undertaker when Hayes appeared on his Six Feet Under podcast.
On SmackDown, Green seemingly took a dig at Hayes by referencing The Deadman when she was on commentary for Tiffany Stratton’s match.
Elsewhere, former WWE head writer Vince Russo said that the company dropped the ball with the leader of The Green Regime, and now they are attempting to turn the controversy into a storyline that will see them coming out as the ‘good guys.’
