WWE’s Possible Move To Save Face After Chelsea Green Controversy

WWE producer Michael Hayes recently sparked major controversy involving Chelsea Green in the Netflix docuseries WWE Unreal Season 2.

During the series, Hayes stated that Green’s role is to elevate top stars such as Charlotte Flair, rather than being positioned as a top star herself. His comments led to significant fan backlash online.

Green later expressed her frustration on social media, stating that the remarks were painful to hear, although she attempted to brush them off with humor.

During a recent episode of the Six Feet Under podcast, Hayes appeared as a guest, where The Undertaker publicly supported Chelsea Green. The Deadman praised Green as a talented performer who is currently “underutilized” and stated that she has the ability to become a top star.

Green responded to The Undertaker’s comments on Twitter by posting her “Chelsea Chronicle,” humorously appointing him as her Secretary of Dark Arts Affairs and dubbing him her “No. 1 Patrihot.”

The situation was later discussed on the Coach and Bro Show, where Vince Russo and Jonathan Coachman weighed in. Russo claimed that WWE deliberately had Chelsea Green post the Chelsea Chronicle tweet to cover up the backlash caused by Hayes’ comments.

He suggested that WWE is attempting to turn their mistake into a storyline, portraying the situation as intentional creative direction rather than an error.
