Charlotte Flair Gave Incredible Life Advice To Current WWE Champion
An NXT champion has revealed some great advice given to her by Charlotte Flair about what it’s like being a WWE superstar.
As a WWE main roster veteran for over a decade, Charlotte Flair knows what kind of commitment you need to have to make it in WWE.
After all, Flair is a 14-time WWE Women’s World Champion, who is also a former Women’s Tag Team Champion. She’s also won the NXT Women’s Title twice and even headlined WrestleMania. If she were to retire today, then Flair would definitely be a future WWE Hall of Famer, but she’s still got many years left.
While speaking with Going Ringside, the NXT Women’s North American Champion Izzi Dame recalled a conversation she had with Charlotte Flair about WWE life. What Flair responded with initially surprised Dame, but Dame said she understands it more now.
“You know, it’s funny. I asked Charlotte Flair that question one time when I was brand new in NXT, and I was like, ‘how do you balance the work/home life,’ and she told me, ‘you don’t, this is your life now, and you have to make that choice, it’s a sacrifice to be in this industry,’ and I was like, ‘yeah, right. I’ll be fine,’ and boy, was she right.
Like this, this really does consume your entire life, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is so fun. Like my job is so fun. So yeah, I mean, this is my, this is my home life. This is my work life. This is my everything now.”
Charlotte Flair Wasn’t Allowed To Use Flair Name Early In WWE Career
For the first three years or so on the WWE main roster, Charlotte Flair was just known as Charlotte, even though everybody knew she was Ric Flair’s daughter.
Following a WrestleMania 34 classic match with Asuka in 2018, Charlotte Flair was told by her former boss, Vince McMahon, that she could use the Flair name after that.
“I wasn’t allowed to use the name ‘Flair’ or use my last name until after the match with Asuka at WrestleMania 34. I showed up at TV the next night and my boss at the time was like, ‘You can use the last name Flair now.’ I was like, ‘Oh, sweet’ (laughs).”
Charlotte Flair was in tag team action with Alexa Bliss this past week on WWE SmackDown as their team picked up a victory against Giulia & Kiana James. Flair and Bliss are trying to get another shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles that they held last year.
