Bryan Danielson’s Planned Match At AEW All In Revealed

Bryan Danielson AEW Forbidden Door

Bryan Danielson won’t be in action at AEW All In due to injury, but there is some news about what AEW had planned for him at the show.

There have been three AEW pay-per-views so far in 2023 and Bryan Danielson has been in the main event of all of them.

At Revolution in March, Danielson lost an incredible 60+ minute Iron Man Match to Maxwell Jacob Friedman for the AEW World Title.

The AEW Double or Nothing PPV in May was headlined by Danielson’s Blackpool Combat Club group beating The Elite in an Anarchy in the Arena match.

Danielson main evented the AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door PPV in June when he faced Kazuchika Okada in a dream match main event between two of the best wrestlers of their era. While Bryan won that match, unfortunately, he suffered a broken arm injury that was called a “severe break” and he will be out of action for several months.

Bryan Danielson Would Have Faced Kenny Omega At AEW All In

It was reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer that Danielson would have faced former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium if Danielson was able to compete.

“The story that had Bryan Danielson not been injured his most likely match at Wembley Stadium would have been a singles match with Kenny Omega has been pretty much confirmed. It was never a sure thing, but it was the working idea before the injury.”

This confirms a previous story where Fightful reported something similar about AEW’s plans to do a Danielson-Omega that would rekindle their late 2021 feud when Danielson first arrived in the company.

With no Daniel Bryan available to wrestle, Kenny Omega has a different match at AEW All In on August 27th. This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Omega will team up with Kota Ibushi and “Hangman” Adam Page against the trio of Jay White, Juice Robinson & Konosuke Takeshita.

Meanwhile, Bryan’s allies in the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) will be in a chaotic 6-on-6 Stadium Stampede Match against Eddie Kingston, Penta, Rey Fenix, Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta in a match where the BCC will have three teammates that have yet to be announced.
