Bryan Danielson is featured prominently in AEW going into Double Or Nothing, but one former WWE star thinks Bryan isn’t being used in an elite way.

It was nearly two years ago in 2021 when Bryan Danielson decided to sign with AEW and move on from his WWE run as Daniel Bryan after spending over a decade working there.

Since joining AEW, Bryan Danielson has feuded with some of the biggest names in the company including Jon Moxley, “Hangman” Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and MJF – all of whom have been AEW World Champions while MJF is the current champion.

The rivalry that Danielson had with AEW World Champion MJF led to the two men having an Ironman Match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view in March 2023 with MJF beating Danielson in a match many people are calling a Match of the Year contender.

Currently, Bryan is more of a heelish character as part of the Blackpool Combat Club group with Jon Moxley, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta. Together, the BCC will face The Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) in an Anarchy in the Arena Match at Double or Nothing this Sunday, May 28th in Las Vegas.

Former WWE & ECW superstar Justin Credible was on the “Hitting The Turnbuckle” podcast recently and he expressed his displeasure with how Bryan Danielson is being used by WWE.

“I know Bryan Danielson very well, I mean he was one of the biggest stars on the planet just a couple of years ago, and they’ve done a horrible job with him.”

“Not to have him [Danielson] in some way pick these guys’ brains, I just would imagine that everybody would have come together a lot easier. I think there’s so much ego involved, it blows my mind, because ECW, the way it worked was there was no ego.”

As Credible continued, he spoke about hearing how some AEW stars are not listening to veterans in the company.

“I just feel like people are being paid good, maybe too good, and they’re just like, ‘F**k this, let me just do the bare minimum what I’m asked, let’s ride this train till the wheels fall off, make our money and go home.'”
