Bron Breakker Wants Match With Injured WWE Star
Bron Breakker has offered an injured WWE star a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.
Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam. The rising star made short work of Zayn, defeating him in just over five minutes with two devastating Spears. The victory marks Breakker’s first title as part of WWE’s main roster, and it looks like he plans to be a fighting champion.
During an appearance at a Fanatics Live auction on August 4th, Breakker was asked about his NXT Title reigns and his favourite match as the developmental brand’s champion. The star named his bout with Tyler Bate on World’s Collide back in 2022. Breakker won that match, unifying the NXT and NXT UK Titles in the process. He went on to say he would be more than happy to run the match back, even offering to put his newly won gold on the line.
“I feel like Tyler Bate and I [had a good match]. That was super early on too. I was still super brand new. He’s a little banged up right now, so I wish he comes back soon.
“And you know what, whenever you get back my man, you want to challenge me for the Intercontinental Championship, then I’ll lay it down for you. Because we had a good one.”
Tyler Bate is currently out of action with a torn pectoral muscle. The star had surgery for the injury in July and is expected to be out for the rest of 2024.
Bron Breakker Challenges John Cena to Take The Intercontinental Championship From Him
Shortly after winning the title, Bron Breakker told John Cena to “grow some balls” and challenged him for the Intercontinental Championship. Cena will hang up his boots for good in 2025, but with him having announced a farewell tour, it’s possible that Breakker could get his wish.
