Breaking: Major WWE Champion Dethroned At WrestleMania 42 As Undefeated Streak Ends

One of the most heated rivalries heading into WWE WrestleMania 42 was one between The Man, Becky Lynch, and the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, AJ Lee.

The two women have been feuding with one another ever since AJ Lee made her return to the promotion back in September last year. Till now, she has gotten the better of Becky Lynch every time they’ve met in the ring.

The last time these two met in the ring was at Elimination Chamber in AJ’s adopted hometown of Chicago, Illinois, where she tapped Becky Lynch out once again to become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Becky came out determined to get back her IC Title and began the match on the front foot as she dominated the champion for large parts of the match. However, Becky often got sidetracked as she got into heated arguments with the referee, Jessika Carr.

AJ Lee got back into the match on several occasions and even came close to retaining after hitting a Manhandle Slam of her own on Becky, but The Man kicked out. She was then trapped in the Black Widow, but grabbed AJ’s hair to get out of it this time.

She went to the corner of the ring and took out the protective padding on the turnbuckle and stood infront of it. AJ then came in for a splash, but Becky pulled the referee in front of her.

Lynch took advantage of the referee being distracted and hit AJ’s face into the exposed turnbuckle before hitting a Manhandle Slam on her to become a three-time Women’s IC Champion.
