It’s Official! Cody Rhodes Teams With CM Punk In Blockbuster Match At WWE SNME

WWE is set to host another edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month and is trying to stack up the card for the event. This is going to be a special edition of the event as it takes place at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple.

The first match of the event was announced on last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, and it will see JD McDonagh take on Danhausen. Another massive addition to the event was announced tonight on the blue brand.

After Nick Aldis made the SummerSlam match between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Title official, Gunther approached the General Manager about the same.

He gave Aldis until the end of the night to submit to his demands, but the former NWA World Champion didn’t back down. Instead, he announced another match for the Ring General, much to his fury.

Aldis confirmed that the Ring General will take both CM Punk and Cody Rhodes in the same match at the Garden. However, he later revealed that it wouldn’t be in a singles match.

Nick clarified to Gunther that he would team up with Sami Zayn to take on the team of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden.
