A top WWE star has opened up about working with Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Je’Von Evans has been one of the most promising stars ever since he made his NXT debut. He has been on the receiving end of multiple opportunities on the black and silver brand. Although he never won a title in NXT, Evans did enough to earn himself a main roster call-up.

Upon arriving on the main roster, Je’Von Evans has been able to impress fans with his in-ring skills. However, he is still in pursuit of his first title. Evans has had the privilege of working under both Shawn Michaels and Triple H. He has finally opened up to compare their styles.

During a recent appearance on ROAR Around The Ring, Je’Von Evans said that HBK enjoys the fast-paced action. Hence, the matches in NXT always seem to go at a quick pace. However, Triple H is more focused on slowing things down to tell a story.

“With Shawn, he loves the quickness. Once you have the crowd, once you have their emotion and reaction, you want to keep them there. I feel like Shawn, he really helps us out with that at NXT.

If the crowd is up here , you don’t want to bring them down to bring them back up. You want to keep them up there. So, that’s why, like sometimes in NXT, we go so fast, you know.

Then, with Uncle H, I feel like it’s more like storytelling, more like drawing out… because we’re wrestling in front of so many people, you can’t go as fast as we do in NXT, because everybody in the rafters won’t be able to catch up and react to what we just did.

You want to have time for people in the crowd to chill and react and be ‘all right, okay, okay, what’s next?’”

When asked if these contrasting styles proved to be a challenge when he made it to the main roster, Je’Von Evans replied that he was ready for it. However, he’s still learning to slow down his pace for the appropriate time.

“No, not really, because I feel I already knew what it was coming into it.

I feel like I was ahead of the game, and I did my studying. I was just prepared for it, you know.

I’m still learning how to now. I’m still learning how to slow down and when it’s the appropriate time to speed up or the appropriate time to react.” [H/T WrestleTalk.com]

It remains to be seen when Je’Von Evans will be able to win his first title in WWE.
