Booker T Wants Tony Khan To Worry About AEW Instead Of Taking Shots At WWE

Booker T

Booker T has expressed himself by suggesting to AEW’s Tony Khan that he should “worry about your own company” instead of taking shots at WWE.

All Elite Wrestling’s Owner/President/General Manager Tony Khan isn’t shy about taking shots at the WWE such as when he recently stated that New York City was the “crown jewel” of pro wrestling, not Saudi Arabia. It was a shot at WWE running shows in Saudi Arabia.

The AEW Dynamite and Rampage Grand Slam shows take place at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. It’s the second year in a row that AEW is running shows at Arthur Ashe Stadium. While Khan is running a New York City show for the second time, WWE has been doing it going back decades before Khan was alive, which is what made Tony’s comments feel peculiar.

That WWE show in Saudi Arabia will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul Crown Jewel on November 5th.

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has reacted to some of Khan’s recent comments. On a recent episode of Booker’s Hall of Fame podcast, co-host Brad Gilmore said that Khan “wasn’t stupid” and Booker replied: “Yeah, yeah. But maybe he is in a lot of ways.”

Booker went on to say that Khan should worry about his own company instead of talking about WWE during interviews.

“Worry about yourself, worry about your company, worry about the turmoil that’s going on inside of AEW right now and try to fix that before you start thinking about what WWE is doing.”

The six-time former World Champion Booker went on to say that while he did respect Khan, he also had to earn respect.

“Sometimes you earn respect, as well. You don’t earn it by going out there talking; you earn it by going out there and doing it… I think I would have a whole lot more respect for Tony Khan if he handled his business, and we all know what that is; we saw the press conference.”

By referencing the press conference, Booker was referring to what happened after All Out when CM Punk went on a rant complaining about Colt Cabana, “Hangman” Adam Page and EVPs in AEW. After Punk’s performance at the media scrum, he got into a locker room fight with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. It should also be noted that Khan was seated right beside Punk during his many rants and Khan did nothing to stop it from happening. Punk is also out of action after undergoing surgery to replace a torn triceps that will keep him out of the ring for about eight months.

When Khan was asked about the wild media scrum, Khan avoided the question by offering no comment on the situation.
