Big Update On Iyo Sky’s WWE Future After Split With Rhea Ripley
IYO SKY is on her own after Rhea Ripley had to part ways with her to begin her feud with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill for WrestleMania 42.
A couple of weeks ago, on Raw, Elimination Chamber match winner Rhea Ripley, in an interview with Jackie Redmond near the titantron, thanked IYO SKY for being her best friend and tag team partner, shared the disappointment of losing their tag titles to Nia Jax and Lash Legend on SmackDown, and held SKY’s face, telling her to hold the fort at Raw while she takes care of Jade Cargill on SmackDown, effectively ending the tag team RHIYO.
Since then, SKY has been in singles action, most recently in a Gauntlet match to determine the #1 contender for the Women’s Intercontinental Title.
She was on a roll, eliminating Lyra Valkyria and Raquel Rodriguez, but Rodriguez attacked her after her elimination, leaving her weakened, and allowed the next entrant, Ivy Nile, to eliminate her.
With Bayley eventually winning the gauntlet match after pinning Asuka at the end, IYO SKY and Asuka are both free for WWE to begin a new angle.
WWE Could Book IYO SKY Vs Asuka vs Kairi Sane For WrestleMania 42
A new report from Bodyslam says that WWE has kept SKY and Asuka from wrestling each other because a match between the two for WrestleMania 42 has apparently been booked.
Some internal chatter has been heard asking to add Kairi Sane to the mix to make it a Triple Threat Match.
Wrestle Features shared the report on X:

Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Iyo Sky is expected to be involved with The Kabuki Warriors once again as we get closer to WrestleMania 42.
WWE has intentionally avoided long periods of in-ring action between Asuka and Iyo as that is the match currently… pic.twitter.com/rphSCsSek7
