Becky Lynch’s Angry Reaction To Disastrous WWE Match

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch’s return to WWE at WrestleMania 41 as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner and the feud that followed between the Irish superstars has been one of the main plots of WWE Unreal season 2.

The Man turned on Valkyria on the RAW after WrestleMania 41, and the rivalry began. Lynch pursued the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, which at that time was under Valkyria’s possession. Big Time Becks dethroned her at Money in the Bank 2025.

Following that, Lynch defended the title against Lyra Valkyria twice. One in a Triple Threat Match, including Bayley at WWE Evolution and the final time at WWE SummerSlam 2025 in a No Count Out No Disqualification match.

Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam went wrong in every way it could

In WWE Unreal season 2 episode 5, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Match at SummerSlam was discussed. The match went wrong in more ways than one. First, Valkyria was tied in a ziplock, and it came off during the match ahead of time. Instead of working with that, Valkyria slipped it back on, hoping the cameras hadn’t caught that. Unfortunately, the cameras did.

Next, she was supposed to get the ziplocks untied under the ring, which she couldn’t do. In fact, she had to crawl back under the ring to have someone cut it.

There was another moment where she shoved The Man into a cameraman.

After retaining the title, Becky Lynch went backstage feeling quite disappointed with the match. She ran into Michael Hayes and told him the match wasn’t great, even though he claimed it was pretty good.

Sorry. It wasn’t great. Wasn’t great. It wasn’t great. It’s not good enough.

On WWE Unreal, she revealed that while it wasn’t the worst match, it wasn’t what they had expected.

I don’t think it was the drizzling sh*ts. Like, it wasn’t the worst match of all time, but I think that we had such high expectations, maybe it didn’t match up to that.

She revealed that Lyra Valkyria wanted Lynch to yell at her, but The Man refused to be upset with Valkyria about it. In fact, she claimed that being wanted to be told instead of being given the kid gloves is both great and terrible. It’s beneficial for progress, but detrimental to mental health.

After the match, Lyra Valkyria received compliments backstage for her creativity at certain points during the match.
