Anthony Bowens Wants A “Live Scissor Celebration” With Adam Copeland

Anthony Bowens would like to have a unique interaction with Adam Copeland inside an AEW ring.

Now that Copeland is a member of the AEW roster, there is a long list of names who will get to stand with or against the Hall of Famer. The Acclaimed member has hopes that he can be in a segment with the former World Champion that would pay homage to an infamous Ruthless Aggression segment.

Speaking with In The Kliq podcast, the Trios Champion was asked about his thoughts regarding the signing of Adam Copeland. Bowens revealed that he hopes to have a match against and to scissor The Rated R Superstar at some point in the future:

“I’m excited, man. You can see the energy that guy brings and you see how excited the fans were, the company, and everybody out there is just as excited. Hopefully, we get opportunities to make some memories with Adam in the ring. You know, a ‘5-second scissor,’ a ‘live scissors celebration,’ there’s so many things we can do with him. Of course, I’d love to get into the ring and square up with him one day. So I’m very excited to have Adam, and I can’t wait to see what all unfolds.”

The Trios champion is of course referencing the “5-second pose” that was performed by Edge and Christian in The Attitude Era and “The Live Sex Celebration” that was performed by Edge and Lita in 2006. Unsurprisingly, the latter has not been seen in WWE video packages looking back at the Hall of Fame career of the former World Champion.

Anthony Bowens Wants To Make AEW History

With reigns as Tag Team and Trios Champion in AEW, Bowens has seen success in the division alongside Max Caster and Billy Gunn. However, The Acclaimed member also has aspirations to win singles gold in the promotion. Looking to win the top prize in All Elite Wrestling, Bowens wants to become the first gay World Champion in AEW.
