Another Mysterio Family Member Expected To Debut In WWE
Rey Mysterio started his WWE career in 2002 after WCW closed.
His son, Dominik Mysterio, had early childhood TV appearances in the 2005 Rey/Eddie Guerrero feud. But he made his official in-ring debut much later, in August 2020, at SummerSlam.
On the latest episode of Keepin’ It OFFICIAL, veteran Konnan revealed that another Mysterio family member might be on his way to becoming a part of the WWE roster.
Speaking about Rey’s daughter, Aalyah, Konnan noted that El Hijo de Rey Misterio, who is the son of Rey Misterio Sr. (Rey Mysterio’s uncle), may end up in either AAA or WWE in the near future.
He said:
This guy is the son of Rey’s uncle, my trainer, Rey Misterio, Sr., and he’s in his 30s, right? He’s a good wrestler. He will eventually probably show up in Triple A or WWE, and you know he’s a good, solid worker, and he’s a relative of Rey. (From 2:36 – 2:57)
Rey Mysterio Called Deadbeat By WWE Star
Dominik has been out of action since he suffered a shoulder injury at AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20. While Rey is busy in a new feud with The Vision.
The WWE legend teamed up with Penta and Dragon Lee to take on Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory of The Vision in a six-man tag team match on the January 19 episode of Monday Night Raw.
The end of the match saw Logan Paul trying to use brass knuckles to cheat and win the match, but RAW general manager Adam Pearce, who was at ringside, caught him and took the knuckles away.
Pearce then got into an argument with Paul Heyman and forgot about the knuckles. Rey grabbed the weapon and slammed it into Austin Theory’s face when the referee was distracted. Penta then won the match after hitting Theory with a Mexican Destroyer.
Theory was angry with his loss on Raw and later went to X to call out Rey for cheating. He called the WWE Hall of Famer a “deadbeat cheater,” which is what his son, Dominik, usually calls him.
