Rey Mysterio Called Out For Being “Deadbeat Cheater” By WWE Star

Rey Mysterio Logan Paul

Rey Mysterio has courted controversy with his actions on WWE Raw.

On the January 19 episode of the red brand, Mysterio teamed up with Penta and Dragon Lee to face The Vision’s Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory.

Both sides have not been seeing eye-to-eye since the masked superstars interfered in the faction’s business a couple of weeks ago.

Last week’s tag team match also ended controversially when Bron Breakker, who was not a part of the bout, speared Lee and Penta. He then almost took out Raw GM Adam Pearce, resulting in his suspension.

To make sure that the fight played out fairly, Pearce announced himself at ringside during the six-man tag team match.

Austin Theory Criticizes Rey Mysterio’s Cheap Tactics

The tag team match was highly entertaining as Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee put on an impressive performance despite the odds being stacked against them.

In the closing minutes, Logan Paul introduced brass knuckles into the match with the intention of using them on someone.

Adam Pearce caught him in the act and snatched the weapon away.

He then got into an argument with Paul Heyman while subconsiously leaving the knuckles in the ring.

Rey Mysterio grabbed the equipment and hit Austin Theory in the face with it when the referee was distracted.

Penta then hit a Mexican Destroyer on Theory for the shocking win. The 28-year-old was later shown reeling from its after-effects during a backstage segment.

Austin Theory took to X to share photos of the brass knuckles incident, calling Rey Mysterio a “deadbeat cheater,” which is a similar reference his son Dominik often uses for the WWE Hall of Famer.
