Announced Lineup for “All In” Tonight from Chicago

All In, which is a show promoted by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, takes place tonight at the Sears Center in the Chicago area. It’s being billed as the “biggest independent wrestling show ever” because they sold just over 10,000 tickets in about 30 minutes a few months ago. They also booked the Starrcast event with appearances and signings from people in wrestling all weekend long, so it’s been a fun weekend for the entire crew.

For those of us not in attendance, you can watch it on pay-per-view, Fite TV and HonorClub, which is a Ring of Honor service since a lot of ROH talent are on the card. All In is included with HonorClub VIP subscriptions, and other HonorClub subscribers can purchase it with a 50 percent off discount. You can also watch it on New Japan World, who announced they are showing it, but on their website it said it to be determined as to when they will upload it. That’s weird. Anyway, I’m probably going the NJPW World route because I already subscribe to it and I won’t be home tonight to see All In live anyway.

There is also “All In: Zero Hour” that will air on WGN America at 6pmET prior to the 7pmET main card that is expected to run about four hours.

Here’s the lineup for All In with my thoughts on the matches.

The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi vs. Rey Mysterio, Fenix & Bandido

This is the main event according to a recent interview from Cody Rhodes. Good choice. Mysterio is wrapping up his indy commitments on Sunday and then he’s WWE bound. The Bucks should win since they are promoting the show, but I can see them putting over Mysterio too.

Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr.

It’s my favorite match on the card. I’m a huge Omega fan and Pentagon is incredible too, so it’ll be cool to see them in a match together. Since Omega is IWGP Champion, I doubt he will lose.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship:Nick Aldis (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

Great job by Nick and the NWA building up this match. I know him pretty well, so I’m happy for his success. Cody has done very well post WWE. I think Cody’s probably going to win.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll

Okada is such an elite level performer along with Omega, so any time he’s on the show that’s going to be a favorite match of mine. I’m happy for Marty getting a match with him.

ROH World Champion Jay Lethal defending against the winner of the Over Budget Battle Royale

I don’t see Lethal losing the title on this show, but there are a lot of potential good opponents, so it should be a solid match.

Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela (Chicago Street Fight)

It’s good to have a stipulation match on here. I have seen quite a bit of Page and not much of Janela, but I’ve heard good things about him. He’s an interesting character.

Stephen Amell from “Arrow” vs. Christopher Daniels

It will be interesting to see Amell in a match after working SummerSlam a few years ago and remaining good friends with Cody Rhodes. Daniels is in his late 40s and still very good at everything. I expect to be impressed by Amell.

Madison Rayne vs. Tessa Blanchard vs. Britt Baker vs. Chelsea Green

The only women’s match on the card. They’ll put on a quality match. I think Tessa will go over.

15-participant Over Budget Battle Royale for an ROH World Championship shot against Jay Lethal later in the night (Moose, Rocky Romero, Colt Cabana, Jordynne Grace, Ethan Page, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, and Punishment Martinez have been confirmed) (All In: Zero Hour)

I doubt I will see this. I think Cage or Moose would be a good pick to win, but I’m not sure if they would work a ROH Title match since they work for Impact and Lucha Underground.

The Briscoes vs. Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky (All In: Zero Hour)

The Briscoes should get the win there. It’s a bit surprising they are not on the main card.

It’s a pretty good lineup with a lot of potentially awesome matches. I also think there will be some surprises like former WWE star Neville showing up and potentially a few others. I don’t expect CM Punk to be there even though he had a signing in the area yesterday.

As for my review, I plan on doing that on Sunday, but it might be Monday morning when I’m able to finish it. It’s Labor Day Weekend and I have some family stuff going on that was planned months ago, so I can’t really ditch those plans to write more about wrestling.
