AJ Styles Tipped To Make Huge Appearance In Non-WWE Promotion

The WWE Hall of Famer, AJ Styles has been pitched to make his appearance on a major promotion in the future.

Earlier this year at the Royal Rumble PLE, AJ Styles wrestled his last match against Gunther, which he lost. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as well.

Following his in-ring retirement, AJ Styles has taken up a backstage role in the WWE. In an interview earlier this year, Styles disclosed that his new role is scouting talent from the indies:

I’ve been going to indie shows and checking those out, just seeing what everyone has to offer and stuff like that. I’m scouring the internet for something that sticks out…if you want to send me that stuff, fine, go ahead, I’d love to see it. So yeah, I’m trying to check out talent and see how much talent is out there.”

“I know what it’s like to be on the indies and having a job. Traveling on the indies, sometimes it’s hard to get things that you need. And so, if they are as desperate as I was to make it in the wrestling business, then I’d love to see them before anybody else snags them up. That’s the way it is. And hopefully, I’m able to see talent before it’s developed.”

Veteran believes AJ Styles will show up in a huge non-WWE promotion

Before joining the WWE in 2016, AJ Styles was one of the top guys in TNA for years. He also made an appearance in the company earlier this year during its AMC debut.

The veteran, Candice Michelle, who is signed with TNA in a backstage role, recalled her backstage meeting with Styles during the AMC debut of TNA, while talking to TMZ:

AJ and I’s paths haven’t really crossed a lot. Actually, I thought I had met him before when I saw him backstage on TNA when we launched on AMC. I was like, ‘Oh, hi AJ.’ He was like, ‘Who are you?’ I was like, ‘Oh, Candice Michelle. Nice to meet you.’ Like, I forgot we really haven’t been on the same roster together.”

Candice Michelle also said that AJ Styles could make an appearance on TNA in the future as well:

But from what I know of him and the way that he’s spoken about, this was a big part of his heart and building this. So I would imagine that at some point, when he’s ready, that he would make an appearance. I mean, why wouldn’t you?” [H/T Fightful]

Only time will tell if Styles will fulfill Candice’s wish.
