AJ Lee Breaks Down In Tears As She Teases WWE Departure After WrestleMania 42

It was a special night for AJ Lee tonight as she made her first WWE WrestleMania appearance in over 11 years at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her last appearance at the Show of Shows came way back in 2015 at WrestleMania 31.

The night was a mixed bag for the Black Widow as she entered the Showcase of the Immortals as WWE’s Women’s Intercontinental Champion, but left without the belt.

Lee faced Becky Lynch in a title match tonight and ended up losing her IC Championship after The Man cheated her way to a win, snapping her losing streak against AJ in the process.

Following her devastating loss to Becky, AJ was interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond, where AJ Lee said that while Becky did cheat her way to the title, she should’ve known better and should’ve been better prepared for it.

Jackie spoke about AJ’s entrance, where she appeared with a bunch of kids who were dressed like her, including her young nieces. While responding to Jackie, AJ broke down as she hinted at another hiatus.

I never got to say goodbye last time, and I felt bad about that, so this is not goodbye, but this a I’ll see you soon… I hope”

While she did say this isn’t a goodbye to the fans, the fact that she ended the sentence that she hopes to be back soon raises some questions among the WWE faithful, regarding her status with the promotion.
