AEW Star Won’t Be Medically Cleared Until At Least July
An AEW star has commented about when a return to the ring might happen.
Tay Melo has worked for All Elite Wrestling since August 2020 after working for WWE for the previous three years. While in AEW, Tay met Sammy Guevera and the couple was married in August 2022.
In November 2023, Tay Guevara gave birth to the couple’s first child, a daughter named Luna. Obviously, a new mother needs to be there for their child and there is a long time until she can think about wrestling again.
Recently, AEW’s Tay Guevara revealed she was back in the wrestling ring to begin training for a return.
While replying to a fan on social media, Tay Guevara stated that it will likely be a couple more months until she is cleared, which likely means this summer perhaps this coming July.

When Is Tay’s Husband Sammy Guevara Going To Make AEW Return?
As for Tay’s husband Sammy Guevera, he was on the bench for a while due to a suspension. However, Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently that Sammy is no longer suspended.
“Sammy Guevara is no longer suspended but there’s no word on when he’ll be cycled back into storylines. There has been stuff pitched but nothing confirmed.”
During his AEW career, Sammy Guevera is a three-time TNT Champion and is considered one of the “four pillars” of the company. However, he has also had out of the ring issues that have led to the company having to discipline him.
