Top AEW Star Doesn’t Want To Wrestle Adam Copeland

Adam Copeland

A top AEW star would “rather not” wrestle WWE legend Adam Copeland.

Incredibly, in 2023 Adam Copeland and Chris Jericho find themselves in the same wrestling promotion as they look to end their careers in style. The pair spent several years working together in WWE, and somehow their paths have crossed once again.

However, it seems that Jericho has little interest in facing his former rival one more time.

In recent weeks, Jericho has been teaming with Kenny Omega as the Golden Jets, which has opened up a whole new range of possible matches. Speaking to the Dallas Morning News, Jericho discussed who he’d like to face while breaking down why he would rather avoid matches against the likes of Copeland and Christian Cage.

“There’s no timeline on what I’m doing. So there’s really, probably no rush. I have a different opinion. I’ve wrestled Adam Copeland so many times and Christian so many times that I would rather not wrestle against those guys. I mean, obviously, we could have a great match. But I really enjoy working with kind of everybody that I haven’t worked with before.

I think Swerve Strickland is amazing. I think Mark Briscoe is amazing, just off the top of my head of guys I’ve never stepped in the ring with. Both of those guys would be a lot of fun to have matches with. So I think right now, that’s kind of a cool place to be looking at,”

Who Wants To Face Adam Copeland At AEW All In?

While Jericho isn’t interested in facing his long-time colleague, RUSH recently declared his intention to wrestle Adam Copeland at AEW All In.

Since arriving in AEW at WrestleDream, Copeland has been wrapped up in a feud with Christian Cage. The two friends turned rivals recently met on Dynamite, with Cage retaining the TNT Title.
