AEW Ratings Rise For Blood And Guts Match On July 19th Dynamite

AEW Blood and Guts The Golden Elite

Blood and Guts helped boots AEW Dynamite ratings on July 19th.

The July 19th episode of AEW Dynamite saw Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Adam Page, and a debuting Kota Ibushi team up against the Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and a returning PAC.

The battle was a bloody one and included broken glass, plenty of weapons, and even a bed of nails. During the bout, miscommunication between PAC and Claudio Castagnoli led PAC to abandon the match, and Don Callis removed Takeshita from the match as well. In the end, the Golden Elite were victorious when Wheeler Yuta was forced to submit as he was being choked by a chain.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the episode drew an average total viewership of 953,000 viewers, a 15.5% increase over last week’s episode, which had an average total viewership of 825,000. Blood and Guts drew a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic, up from last week’s 0.28.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, MJF and Adam Cole won the Blind Eliminator Tournament after defeating Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia in the final round. The pair is set to face FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the July 29th episode of Collision.

Meanwhile, the newly-villainous Jack Perry debuted new theme music, entering to the sounds of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony before defeating HOOK for the FTW Championship.
