Adam Cole Gives Update On Kyle O’Reilly

Adam Cole Kyle O'Reilly

Adam Cole has given an insight into the current status of Kyle O’Reilly.

The longtime friend and rival of Cole has been off of TV for over a year due to having neck fusion surgery. O’Reilly last wrested in June 2022 when he lost to Jon Moxley in a tournament to crown the Interim AEW World Champion.

Cole was asked if he could give any update on the condition of Kyle O’Reilly while being interviewed by Inside The Ropes. Cole said that O’Reilly is doing all he can to make a return but was unable to give a timeframe of when that will be:

All I can say is Kyle is continuing to push forward. This has been a very long and very, very tough process for him. But he’s a warrior. Like, again, there’s nothing that Kyle loves more than pro wrestling, and he’s doing everything that he can to make sure he’s getting healthy and getting back to a point where he can return to the ring. Obviously, there’s still no timetable on when he’s going to be able to come back. But Kyle is progressing, he’s getting better every single week. And just like the rest of the world, I can’t wait till Kyle O’Reilly gets back. I miss him so much.

Will Adam Cole Be Able To Compete At AEW WrestleDream?

The main event of AEW Grand Slam saw MJF successfully defend the World Championship against Samoa Joe. Cole would rush to ringside to provide support to his best friend in the closing moments but fell awkwardly from the entrance ramp and was sent to the hospital after the broadcast had ended.

Cole is scheduled to team with MJF to defend the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships against The Righteous on October 1st. When asked if Cole would make it for the pay-per-view, Tony Khan revealed that it would be addressed on the go-home episode of Dynamite.
