“A Total Miss” – Wrestling Analyst Points Out Where WWE Is Losing Money
Ever since TKO acquired WWE, the focus has been on revenue and profit. As a result, the prices of combo ticket packages and individual tickets shot up. Fans spoke out against it as well.
Considering the focus is on revenue, there are several ways for the company to earn. One being sponsorships, and the other being merchandise sales. Some superstars, such as CM Punk and Jey Uso have had record merchandise sales last year.
Speaking of merchandise, the Stamford-based promotion might consider a recurring gear on WWE TV to be put up for sale on the online shop.
WWE should put up the mystery man mask and hoodie for sale
On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts reminded fans that in 2025, several superstars wore the black mask and hoodie as mystery figures to interfere in matches. Some of the prime examples are R-Truth, Becky Lynch, and now Jacob Fatu.
He claimed that WWE should consider putting that outfit in the shop so fans can turn up to events wearing it. The fact that the global juggernaut is not doing that is “a total miss”.
When you rewatch the end of that match, Drew McIntyre is ready to crawl out the door of that cage. And here comes masked Jacob Fatu, which for the life of me, between Becky Lynch, between R-Truth, between Austin Theory, between now Jacob Fatu, the fact that that black mask, black zip hoodie combo has come up so many different times, and the WWE is not selling a masked man costume on WWE shop. To me, it is a total miss. This is now a regular thing. The masked man, it happens four to six times a year. You got to get a mask man outfit on WWE shop right now. Fans need to be able to turn up to WWE events dressed as the masked man.
Sure, you go to the Army-Navy store, I guess, and buy the masked Man uniform, but wouldn’t you want the official WWE maskman uniform? I know I would. I mean, I probably will if it goes up for sale. I think Mattel should make a mask-man figure as well.
Roberts compared it to the time when the Sting mask was on sale, and fans would turn up wearing the mask, so no one quite knew if it was a fake Sting or a fan wearing the mask.
