A former United States Champion might be done with WWE, according to a latest claim. The star in discussion is none other than LA Knight.

LA Knight joined the WWE in 2021, and after a decent run in NXT, he joined the main roster in 2022. Fans got behind The Megastar and wanted him at the top as well. Knight won the United States title two times during his tenure, but many fans believe that he deserves a World title run in the company.

LA Knight has not been seen on TV since the RAW after WrestleMania 42. His last match was at The Show of Shows this year, where he teamed with The Usos to defeat the team of Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed.

LA Knight could be done with WWE

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, the former WWE personality, Jonathan Coachman, alleged that LA Knight is done with the Stamford-based promotion, speculating that he is either frustrated with Triple H’s creative or was asked to take a pay cut on his contract:

Guys, this is a hot take. I think LA Knight is done in the WWE. He wasn’t there last Monday night. He hasn’t been utilized in any of this stuff. I think that, for whatever reason, whether he’s just done dealing with Triple H and getting yelled at, or he makes too much money and they came to him and said, ‘We want you to take a pay cut.’ Because the word on the street is, it was a lot of talent, not just the New Day.

Coachman also claimed that LA Knight could go on the indies and earn well:

And I think we’re going to see LA Knight, because he’s one of the few guys that I think, if he goes out on the indies, he could command 5-10 grand a shot, right? […] I think he’s also 43-years-old, and you gotta understand whether you make a lot of money or you don’t. At some point, you say to yourself, ‘I’m tired of this.’

Jonathan Coachman concluded by talking about New Day leaving the WWE because they were reportedly asked to take a pay cut, and compared the situation with LA Knight:

And I think that’s what the New Day did, they said, ‘We’re sitting around.’ Yes, you want to earn a lot of money, and that’s important. But sometimes the talent that’s been there, done that, they’re like, ‘I can’t give away another year or two. I’m getting older, and I can’t wrestle every week. I need to do this now.’ LA Knight is 43, he can’t wrestle every single week when you’re 43. [from 1:24:58 onwards]

It remains to be seen when LA Knight will be back on WWE TV.
