According to a new report, there are currently no creative plans for LA Knight.

The Megastar was last seen in action at WrestleMania 42 Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, where he teamed up with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) to face IShowSpeed, Austin Theory, and Logan Paul. The babyface team picked up the victory that night.

He then appeared on the April 20, 2026, episode of Monday Night Raw (Raw after WrestleMania), where he had a confrontation with Gunther. The segment was expected to lead to a storyline, but according to BodySlam+, those plans were canceled by WWE.

No Immediate Creative Plans for LA Knight As WWE Drops Gunther Feud

The report noted that WWE had planned a short program between Knight and Gunther on Raw, but it ultimately fell through after The Ring General was sent to SmackDown to begin a new rivalry with Cody Rhodes. It was also stated that WWE is currently unsure about Knight’s immediate creative direction, though he remains with the company.

LA Knight was scheduled to have a short program with Gunther before the company pivoted to Gunther heading to SmackDown to challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. It is currently unknown what Knight’s creative direction will now be but he is still with the company. [H/T Wrestle Features on X]

On the May 1, 2026, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Gunther attacked Rhodes after he defeated a debuting Ricky Saints in a singles match. He took him out with a sleeper hold and then grabbed the championship and raised it, signaling that he is coming after Rhodes and his gold.

Knight had been feuding against The Vision alongside Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. Now that Jimmy and Jey Uso have moved on from their storyline with The Vision, it will be interesting to see how WWE fits him into a new storyline.
