Welcome to Part Two of TJR Wrestling’s EXCLUSIVE interview with WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry.

While speaking to TJR Wrestling on behalf of BetVictor Online Casino, Henry talked about Oba Femi and how a potential match between the two would have gone down. The WWE Legend also addressed Hulk Hogan’s controversial statements in the past, and a whole lot more.

You can check out Part One of our interview with Mark Henry HERE. Without further ado, let’s find out what The World’s Strongest Man had to say.

Mark Henry on WWE’s current hottest prospect, Oba Femi:

Oba Femi has quickly risen the ranks in the sports entertainment juggernaut. The biggest win of Femi’s young WWE career came at WrestleMania 42, where he basically squashed ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar.

During our conversation, The World’s Strongest Man was asked how a battle between a prime Mark Henry and Oba Femi would have looked like. Henry responded with the following:

I think that Oba Femi and me would be interesting, but they would have to make the effort to make people love him more. Because I was such a bad character. I mean, when I say bad, I mean people not only were they afraid of me, like they’re afraid of Oba, but they hated me because I didn’t take a lot of crap off nobody and I made everybody’s lives miserable. Like right now, Oba is not making people’s lives miserable, he’s not the same character that I was. It would be really, really good if we ran into each other, but it would be better if he was ten feet away from me and I was looking across at him and we would have a historically good match.

Mark Henry on Hulk Hogan:

WWE Legend Hulk Hogan remains a divisive figure in the pro wrestling industry even after his death on July 24, 2025. While his work inside the squared circle was impeccable, his real-life controversies sadly overshadowed those.

The Hulkster found himself in the middle of a huge controversy in 2015, when people came to know about a leaked s*x tape recorded in 2007. In the recording, Hulk Hogan was heard making racist remarks, which landed him in hot water with WWE.

The sports entertainment juggernaut erased the legend from its history and even removed him from the WWE Hall of Fame. However, Hulk Hogan returned to WWE in 2018 after apologizing for his actions and was even reinstated into the Hall of Fame.

While speaking to TJR Wrestling, Mark Henry stated that Hogan should be given his flowers for his work in pro wrestling, but added that his racist comments were “very hurtful.” He also shared his thoughts on Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American documentary.

I think that wrestling-wise, like, he [Hulk Hogan] should be honored and respected for pro wrestling. When the reports came out of what was said, it was very hurtful to black people, not just in America but around the world. And you have to own up to your mistakes. Like I mean, none of us get to say, ‘Oh well, I made a mistake,’ and that’s the end. You got to apologize. You got to say, ‘This ain’t ever gonna happen again. Like I let my anger, and I let the fact that I was drunk or that I had done drugs get in the way of me loving people the way that I should love people. And I’m sorry.’ That never happened. So I can’t fix it because it’s not my job to fix that, nor would anybody care if I said anything. If I said something constructive or nice, they would probably take it the other way and call me a sellout, and I’m not. I’m not a sellout. I saw about half of the documentary, and I thought it was really good. And you didn’t think, ‘Oh, he did some horrible things or said some horrible things,’ you just caught up in it and go, ‘Wow, I didn’t know that,’ or ‘That was good,’ and you just watched the documentary. But if you feel so strongly that ‘I’ll never forgive him and I’m going to do it my way,’ then a closed mind will not allow you to like the documentary.

On his son Jacob Henry’s future:

WWE is currently filled with second-generation stars such as Charlotte Flair, Dominik Mysterio, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker, and more. An up-and-coming talent who is signed with the Stamford-based promotion is Mark Henry’s son, Jacob Henry.

During our chat, The World’s Strongest Man stated that Jacob could become the next breakout star in WWE and join the ranks of Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, etc.

I think he will be. He loves it. He’s a really good athlete. He sings, he dances, he’s a great entertainer. But more than anything, he loves wrestling more than anything. And you can tell. Oh, he’s having fun. Oh, he’s serious. You can tell the dynamic, he’s going to be fine.

Mark Henry feels Jacob Fatu can easily rise to the top of pro wrestling:

WrestleMania 42 is in the history books. It ended with Roman Reigns returning to the top of the mountain in WWE, winning the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk. However, he now faces a dangerous opponent in the form of Jacob Fatu. The two will clash at the WWE Backlash 2026 premium live event, and who would emerge victorious is anybody’s guess.

Mark Henry was asked if he sees Jacob Fatu as the main guy in WWE, or pro wrestling as a whole. He stated:

I believe that anything is possible in pro wrestling. Like, pro wrestling has existed since the late 1800s to now, and there’s never been a stoppage. A civil war was fought in America, and they wrestled during the civil war to entertain the troops. C*VID happened, a worldwide pandemic, it didn’t stop wrestling. And here we are now in another phase of life for pro wrestling. Wrestling is going nowhere. It’s going to be just as powerful as it was before.
