Massive Spoiler On WWE’s WrestleMania Plans For Cody Rhodes

A new report regarding WWE’s plans for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 has surfaced.

The American Nightmare is going to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the March 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown this week.

If he manages to dethrone the Scottish Warrior, he would then put the title on the line against the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber winner, Randy Orton, at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Cody Rhodes Vs Randy Orton Highly Likely To Take Place At WrestleMania 42 In Las Vegas

It was recently reported that WWE is considering Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for WrestleMania 42.

Fightful Select also reported that WWE has been considering putting Rhodes vs. Orton on the WrestleMania match card for “well over a month.” In fact, according to the report, WWE had been planning Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton since earlier this January.

According to the report, Cody Rhodes lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre in the first place because WWE wanted to feature him in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches. Therefore, they had to strip him of the title to make this possible.

The Fightful report also noted that although plans are already in motion, WWE could still change some things around. If Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton happens at WrestleMania 42, that could mean Drew McIntyre would then go on to face Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, according to some reports.
