The popular TV game show “Wheel of Fortune” is teaming up with WWE for a week full of shows leading into WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

Xavier Woods was a celebrity guest on an episode of Wheel of Fortune that aired on ABC on Sunday, October 30th. Following Woods’ appearance on Wheel of Fortune, it was announced that more WWE superstars will be appearing on the game show.

The following press release was sent by WWE and Wheel of Fortune looking for contestants to be on the show where they can compete against some WWE superstars.

CALL FOR CONTESTANTS: WHEEL OF FORTUNE IS LOOKING FOR WWE SUPERFANS TO PLAY ALONGSIDE WWE SUPERSTARS

Culver City, CA (October 31, 2022) – For the first time ever, Wheel of Fortune (WOF) is partnering with the WWE on a week of shows and looking for WWE superfans to spin the Wheel and solve puzzles alongside some of their favorite WWE Superstars.

To be considered for an audition, fans who love WWE & WOF will want to visit www.wheeloffortune.com to register and upload a video letting producers know why they are the WWE’s biggest fan, why they should be a contestant during this electrifying week of shows, and which WWE Superstar they would want to play with.

The episodes will tape in early 2023 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA and will air as part of the iconic game show’s milestone 40th season.

During the one-hour TV broadcast, Woods won $96,000 that was donated to his charity, Gamers Outreach, which is a charity that brings video games to hospitals. The celebrity version of Wheel of Fortune is one-hour long and Woods won both rounds. Unfortunately, he failed to win the bonus round following both of his wins.

Woods also tweeted a video encouraging WWE fans to apply to try to appear on Wheel of Fortune leading up to WrestleMania 39 next April in Los Angeles.

Good luck to anybody who applies to be on the show!
