WWE Veteran Slams Triple H: “He’s Such An Idiot”
Triple H is being criticized by this WWE veteran for his work as the company’s CCO after hearing his comments during an interview with Joe Tessitore.
Triple H’s booking hasn’t exactly been well-received by critics, former WWE stars and veterans, and a portion of the fanbase for the past several months.
As WWE’s Chief Content Officer (CCO), Triple H ends up shouldering most of the blame for the product and its shows.
The build to WrestleMania 42 was ill-received and ended up in lower-than-usual ticket sales for the event, which was already losing out on ticket sales because of higher pricing.
The company went as far as to air their dirty laundry out in public, so to speak, and bared the online chatter about the issues backstage by including it in the storylines for the main event via Pat McAfee, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk.
WrestleMania 42 host John Cena even acknowledged that the build to the event was “polarising,” but put any doubts to bed after announcing massive attendance numbers of over 50,000 on both nights.
The creative team also struggled with consistent storylines due to wrestlers being injured or suddenly suffering an injury a few months before the show, which led the company to pivot many major storylines and take a different direction.
Triple H acknowledged this in an interview with WWE announcer Joe Tessitore ahead of WrestleMania, in which he said that they have no backups to their major stars. WWE veteran Vince Russo had some harsh words for The Game upon listening to a part of the interview.
WWE Veteran Vince Russo Calls Triple H An Idiot
Vince Russo has been repeatedly bashing Triple H over the past months for his booking, and on Russo’s Brand podcast, he was seen reacting to The Game’s comments in disappointment.
Russo claims that the reason he quit watching wrestling was because of Triple H’s bad booking, and went on to say that The Cerebral Assassin is only in his current position as CCO in the company because he married former CEO Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon.
Russo also reacted to one of Triple H’s remarks in the same interview, where he talked about how fans can want the booking to go a certain way, but they can’t really do that, as it doesn’t leave them a place to go.
Bro, this guy doesn’t know what he’s doing. He does not belong in that spot. You never have the mindset, oh, this could be an okay show. This is going to be immediate.
It’s not going to be a great show, but it’s going to be it. Bro, this guy should not be in that spot. The only real, guys, let’s stop, let’s stop f****ng around. The guy’s in this spot because he married Stephanie. Period, end of story, bro. He’s got no business in this spot.
He hasn’t been successful in this spot. He’s been a failure in this spot. The product sucks because he’s in this spot.
And that’s the only reason he’s in this spot. He’s such an idiot, bro. He’s such an idiot.
He has no idea what he’s talking about. Just sounds like he’s making up excuses. He has no business being in that spot.I’m sorry, guys, this is nothing personal. This is the guy that made me stop watching wrestling after God knows how many years. I don’t watch it anymore because of the product they were putting out.
He’s responsible for that, bro. No matter what he says, ebbs and flows, there’s no backups. No matter what he wants to say, you are the guy responsible.
