Triple H’s actual role in WWE’s creative team could now be revealed with a WWE star commenting on a rumour about it.

WWE’s creative team is headed by the CCO Triple H, who has faced a lot of criticism for his booking of the weekly shows on both Raw and SmackDown, and even the PLEs.

WrestleMania 42 had a build-up that was not well received by fans and critics, and the company even acknowledged it through their WrestleMania 42 host, John Cena, who stated that the build was polarising. The event itself was equally polarising, with night 1 receiving far less praise than night 2. Night 2 saw an uptick with Brock Lesnar losing to Oba Femi and, surprisingly, announcing retirement, combined with an exhilarating contest between Roman Reigns and CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Many wrestling analysts, fans, and former WWE stars have been asking for a change in creative personnel or a fresh direction. A recent post from a wrestling fan page shared the opinion that Triple H is TKO’s (WWE’s owners) scapegoat and doesn’t have a hand in booking the main event scene, but only the mid and lower cards, along with the weekly booking.

When a fan tagged former WWE star Karion Kross about the post, Kross had something very interesting to say.

Karion “Killer” Cross Seemingly Acknowledges Rumour About Triple H’s Role In WWE’s Creative Team

Karion Cross worked in the Stamford-based promotion along with his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux. But in 2025, when the pair’s contracts expired, Kross was given a new offer to resign, but his wife wasn’t.

Kross later opened up about it in an out-of-character interview, stating that Scarlett not getting the offer to resign would make him depart the company.

Kross, who currently wrestles in the independent circuit, was in WWE between 2020 and 2021 initially and between 2022 and 2025 for his second run.

When tagged by a fan on X and asked what he thinks about Triple H being TKO’s scapegoat, he replied, saying that he knew it. Since Kross was a backstage talent, this could mean that there is some truth behind the rumour, although nothing is confirmed.
