There will be multiple WWE television shows taping in advance in February due to a unique reason.

The only WWE Premium Live Event between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40 is Elimination Chamber, which happens to take place in Perth, Australia on Saturday, February 24th in front of a huge crowd with over 40,000+ fans in attendance.

Fans of WWE know that when it comes to their weekly TV shows like Raw, Smackdown and NXT, they are mostly live shows nearly every week. However, there are some exceptions.

As has been reported previously, WWE fans attending the Friday, February 16th edition of Smackdown in Salt Lake City, Utah are getting more than usual that night because the company will be taping two episodes of Smackdown that night.

In addition to that, WWE is also taping two weeks of NXT on February 13th in Orlando. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer shed some light on why the company is doing that.

As noted before, [WWE] will be taping two weeks of Smackdown on 2/16 because on 2/23 the top stars have to be in Australia for the Elimination Chamber and the decision was made not to tape there.

They are also taping two weeks of NXT on 2/13. The reason is there are tryouts in Perth, Australia so the key NXT people will be leaving before 2/20.

WWE Smackdown Will Feature Triple H

While Triple H is a WWE Hall of Famer who has been on WWE television many times over the last 30 years, it’s not that common for him to be on television in this era. However, WWE has announced that the boss man Triple H, who is the company’s Chief Content Officer, will be on the February 9th edition of Smackdown. In addition to Triple H, WWE has advertised the following for Smackdown.

* Bayley talks about her departure from Damage CTRL

* Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate square off against Ciampa and Gargano for the right to challenge The Judgment Day at WWE Elimination Chamber

* Bianca Belair takes on Michin in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match

Whoever wins the Belair-Michin match will join Becky Lynch in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
