Triple H May Split Iconic WWE Tag Team After 10 Years
This well-known WWE tag team could see a different direction if Triple H and co decide to, says WWE veteran.
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) returned to WWE TV recently and ambushed the World Tag Team Champions, Logan Paul and Austin Theory of the Vision.
Ford and Dawkins have been in hot pursuit of the Tag Team Gold since they returned and have been regularly feuding with the Tag Champions on Raw. They’ve also faced some turbulence with Seth Rollins, who is in a heated feud with Bron Breakker, the leader of the Vision faction.
The Street Profits briefly teamed up with Joe Hendry to face the Vision members, with Hendry even insulting Logan Paul with a song that has the lyrics “Paul, Paul, can we fire Logan Paul?”
On the latest episode of Raw, the Street Profits found themselves in the middle of a massive brawl when they came out to help Seth Rollins, who was getting beaten up by the Vision following his singles win over Austin Theory.
The Street Profits are set to face Paul and Theory for the World Tag Team Titles at Saturday Night’s Main Event this week, but WWE veteran Tommy Carlucci believes that they have some singles runs ahead of them.
WWE Veteran Tommy Carlucci Belives That The Street Profits Will Have Singles Runs
On Johnathan Coachman’s YouTube channel, Behind the Turnbuckle Studios, Tommy Carlucci explains how Montez Ford can have a singles run with the athletic ability he has, and that the Street Profits may not win tag team gold, and be split up by Triple H and WWE’s creative team soon.
Speaking of tag teams, I’m starting to see a little crack in the armour with the Street Profits, and I’m wondering, by the way, folks, we’ve said this before and we’ve said this a million times. Montez Ford needs to be on his own. Did you see how he came in the ring tonight? The pop, his athleticism, in the ring jumping over the corner of the ring over onto Logan Paul and Theory. Freak Stuff.
He pumped the crowd up. He’s in great shape. He has a great look. And if you don’t think this guy could be a singles superstar then there’s something wrong with you.
That’s why I don’t think they’re gonna get the tag team championships. I think there’s gonna be some friction and maybe you’ll see the split of the Street Profits. If you give the rope to Montez to run with it, he can run a long way. (20:30 onwards)
