WWE Stars Had Tough Love Conversation As Raw Careers Falter
A young tag team in WWE has had ups and downs in the company, which has led to some important conversations.
When WWE NXT was rebranded as NXT 2.0 in the fall of 2021, two of the wrestlers that became household names quickly were The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed), who were talented collegiate wrestlers before signing with WWE.
While The Creeds had success in NXT as the Tag Team Champions, there was a lot of anticipation for WWE main roster debut. That happened in October 2023. The Creeds have picked up some big wins on the Raw brand with their friend Ivy Nile by their side and even challenged The Judgment Day for the WWE Tag Team Titles as well.
Even though they have had some success on the main roster, there have also been tough moments as well as The Creeds and Ivy adjust to the main roster WWE life.
Julius Creed spoke to TV Insider about how his team with his brother Brutus and friend Ivy Nile has led to some deep conversations within the group.
“Exhausting. I’m worn out by both of them. They give me gray hair, and I don’t have too much hair. Seriously, it’s rewarding. The greatest moments in life are when you can share them with someone you love, and the people you’ve had to go through hard times with. There have been ups and downs. Ivy and I are pretty mellow. Brutus is all over the place. He creates some chaos.”
“It’s an interesting dynamic. I sent him a text last Monday night after we had a debriefing in the car about what we had to improve on. It was a tough love conversation. We need to raise our game and lick our wounds after a tough talk. At the same time, we say we love each other. There is nobody else I would want to do this with. One is blood family and the other has become family.”
WWE Raw To Feature Huge Tag Team Matches With WrestleMania Implications
On the March 18th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw in Raleigh, there will be three tag team matches that will lead those teams being part of the Six-Pack Ladder Match at WrestleMania 40 for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
The Creed Brothers will be in one of those matches when they face the #DIY duo of Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano.
In the two other matches, The New Day will face Alpha Academy’s Otis & Akira Tozawa while Awesome Truth’s The Miz & R-Truth will be against Indus Sher.
Another big match on Raw will see Becky Lynch face her longtime rival Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing match.
