WWE Star Royce Keys Opens Up About His Late Brother’s Role In His Life

Keys revealed stark personal details about his real-life brother, who died in a gruesome manner because of his involvement in the drug business.

My brother was a big drug dealer. He lost his life saving me. It was one of those things – I don’t know if I should say it was meant to happen – but if you play a certain game, you win certain prizes.

Keys explains the circumstances in harrowing detail and reveals that his brother was simply someone who was trying to get by and provide for his family, saying that he sacrificed his life to save Keys. The memory of his brother’s death hasn’t faded and in fact, replays in Key’s head, he says.

He sacrificed himself to save me. I still replay it in my head – seeing him laying there, gasping for air, blood coming out of him – and you don’t even know what you’re supposed to feel in that moment. It was someone just trying to get by, and he lost his life.

He also opened up about feeling guilty for many years, wanting to be like his brother, but looked on the bright side, saying he wouldn’t have had the things he did growing up if it weren’t for him.

There are certain things I hear that remind me of him. I felt guilty for so many years. I felt guilty for wanting to be like him. But at the same time, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have had certain things growing up.
