WWE Star’s 3-Word Response To Matt Cardona After SmackDown Return

This WWE star was trolled by Matt Cardona on X.

Matt Cardona (FKA Zack Ryder) made his return to WWE programming on SmackDown, much to the surprise of the fans. He was released by the company in 2020 and only made one surprise appearance as Zack Ryder against LA Knight in a match that was part of the Last Time Is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent in late 2025.

However, he returned officially on the first SmackDown episode of the new year with his real name, Matt Cardona, and defeated Kit Wilson in a match.

Kit Wilson, whose gimmick is about battling toxic masculinity in the company, did not take the loss well and was seen waiting to meet SmackDown GM Nick Aldis outside the latter’s office to complain about it.

Meanwhile, Cardona trolled Wilson on his Major Wrestling Figure podcast account on X by posting a picture of himself holding up Wilson’s action figure. The caption read

Some wrestlers have a ‘people I’ve worked with’ shelf.

Not @TheMattCardona! He has a “people I’ve beat in my debut” shelf!

Kit Wilson, who joined NXT after NXT Uk shut down, is currently working as a part of WWE’s main roster on SmackDown.

Matt Cardona was seen talking to Cody Rhodes backstage before the latter’s WWE Championship bout with Drew McIntyre last week on the blue brand. Cardona wished Rhodes the best for his match and also hinted at going for the WWE Championship after Rhodes’ match.

But Rhodes lost the bout to Drew, making McIntyre the new champion. It remains to be seen what Cardona will do now that there’s a new champ on the block.
