A WWE Superstar’s time with the company is coming to an end.

In recent weeks WWE has released several Superstars including the likes of Jinder Mahal, Xia Li, and Cameron Grimes.

Meanwhile, it’s now been reported that another star will be following those names into free agency.

As reported by Fightful Select, SCRYPTS — formerly known as Reggie, won’t be offered a new contract. The star’s current deal expires in early June, and according to Fightful, he plans to continue wrestling likely under the name Sidney Akeem.

SCRYPTS Confirms WWE Exit

Following the report, the star has confirmed his WWE departure in a short video on social media.

In the short clip posted under the name Sidney Akeem, the soon-to-be former NXT star can be seen putting several items linked to his WWE run into a large box. His SCRYPTS mask, 24/7 Title belt, and OTM neck chain are all placed inside. The video closes with a message confirming Akeem will be available from June 1st.

SCRYPTS joined the sports entertainment giant in 2020 and performed under the name Reginald before this was shortened to Reggie. The star was never presented as more than a comedy character on the main roster before moving to NXT in 2022 and being given his most recent moniker.
