Surprising WWE Star Tops Seth Rollins’ Top 5 Royal Rumble Winners

Seth Rollins poses on WWE Raw

Seth Rollins has revealed his list of the top 5 Royal Rumble winners from the past.

The Royal Rumble is an annual live event that sets the course for WrestleMania a couple of months later. For the first time, in 2026, the show is being organized outside North America, with Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the host.

Rollins competed in his first Rumble event in 2014, where he was eliminated by his SHIELD stablemate, Roman Reigns.

Through continued persistence, he managed to win the match in 2019 by eliminating Braun Strowman to earn a world title shot at WrestleMania 35.

At the Showcase of the Immortals, he defeated the then-WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to win the title for the first time.

Seth Rollins has been out of action since injuring his shoulder at last year’s Crown Jewel in October. In a recent interview, he confirmed that he was not traveling to Saudi Arabia as a result.

Seth Rollins Picks Becky Lynch’s 2019 Victory As The Best Royal Rumble Win

Appearing on ESPN’s First Take, Seth Rollins revealed his top 5 favorite Royal Rumble wins.

He kicked off the list with Rey Mysterio, who won the event in 2006 by eliminating Randy Orton. Rollins said that size and weight do not matter in this format and that anything is possible.

Rollins put John Cena’s 2008 win as #4. Cena made his shock return, as he had suffered a devastating pectoral tear that was reported to keep him out for 6-12 months, but he returned in three.

He placed Ric Flair’s 1992 Rumble win at #3. In a unique scenario, the vacant WWF Championship was on the line. The Nature Boy, who entered at #3, eliminated Sid Justice to not only win the Royal Rumble but also be crowned the WWF World Heavyweight Champion for the first time.

Seth Rollins placed Shawn Michaels’ 1995 victory at #2. The ending of the match was highly controversial, as it saw Michaels’ foot hit the floor. At the time, no such rule existed that said ‘both feet must touch the ground.’

The Visionary named his wife, Becky Lynch’s victory at the 2019 Royal Rumble, as #1. Lynch replaced Lana, who was attacked during her entrance. This victory arguably changed the course of the future for ‘The Man,’ who is one of the most influential women on the roster.
