WWE SmackDown Spoilers Ahead Of New Year’s Revolution
The first WWE SmackDown episode of 2024 is called New Year’s Resolution and there are some spoilers out about superstars that may be on the show.
It’s the New Year’s Revolution of WWE Friday Night SmackDown airing tonight, January 5th from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This first episode of SmackDown in 2024 will feature a lot of star power and perhaps a couple of surprises too.
It has been reported by Fightful Select that Olympic Gold Medallist and WWE superstar Gable Steveson is at Smackdown tonight. PWInsider reported the same thing while adding that Steveson has been backstage at a few WWE TV tapings of late. There is no official confirmation that Steveson will be on Smackdown tonight.
Gable Steveson has only had one televised match in WWE at the NXT Great American Bash PLE in July 2023 when he faced Baron Corbin. The match was not received well, Steveson was booed heavily and WWE didn’t use him on television in the final five months of 2023.
Fightful also reported that the Authors of Pain (AOP) team of Akam & Rezar will be featured on Smackdown moving forward, perhaps as soon as tonight. The team, along with manager Paul Ellering, is expected to be aligned with Karrion Kross & Scarlett. That was teased two weeks earlier on Smackdown.
WWE SmackDown To Feature Roman Reigns And Huge Triple Threat Match
There are some big matches set to take place on the January 5th New Year’s Revolution edition of Smackown from Vancouver.
Roman Reigns returns LIVE to SmackDown for New Year’s Revolution.

Kevin Owens battles Santos Escobar in the United States Championship Tournament Final. The winner of that match faces Logan Paul for the US Title at the Royal Rumble.
Logan Paul comes to SmackDown at New Year’s Revolution.
Michin to challenge IYO SKY in a WWE Women’s Title Match.
Butch must find a partner to take on Pretty Deadly.
We will have full coverage of tonight’s episode of Smackdown later this evening on TJRWrestling.
