Why WWE Should Have Released Jade Cargill? Veteran Explains
A WWE veteran has stated that Jade Cargill should have been among the recent roster cuts.
Shortly after WrestleMania 42, WWE released approximately 25 superstars as part of a cost-cutting strategy, letting go of underutilized talent to make room for new signings.
Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo discussed the recent post-Mania cuts on an episode of The Coach & Bro Show. During the discussion, Coachman stated that, given WWE released multiple talents to reduce costs and increase profit margins, Jade Cargill could have been one of those releases.
Jonathan Coachman Says WWE Could Have Saved Money by Releasing Jade Cargill
Coachman argued that Cargill is earning a significant salary in WWE but is not being utilized enough. He added that releasing her could have helped the company save a considerable amount of money.
If you’re making seven figures, which we know that she is, she was a big-time free agent, and you get one match in three months, if you’re a TKO and you’re looking at that, how is that not somebody that you have to look at and say, “Has she earned the money that we’re paying her?” You see what I’m saying?
But everybody else, because they’re not on TV, they get punished. You didn’t give them an opportunity, or they didn’t get one, whatever. But to me, if I’m looking to cut somebody, to me, Jade is on that block. She is based off of what I’m paying her. (1:06:38 – 1:07:17)
Jade Cargill was part of the WrestleMania 42 Sunday match card, where she lost her WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley.
Cargill had originally won the title in November 2025 after defeating Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night’s Main Event. During her reign as champion, she made just one title defense, and it was against Jordynne Grace on the February 13 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown in Dallas.
