WWE RAW aired live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, tonight as the go-home episode of Monday Night RAW, before Backlash, which is promised to be an entertaining one.

Many exciting segments have already been announced for the show, including the contract signing between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu ahead of their clash at Backlash.

The two cousins are set to fight it out for the World Heavyweight Championship at the show this coming weekend. The night will also see the continuation of Oba Femi’s open challenge, which The Ruler issued last week.

Roman Reigns arrives for WWE RAW

The World Heavyweight Champion showed up to Monday Night RAW, and he was visibly annoyed at his cousin, Jacob Fatu. He was immediately approached by Adam Pearce, but Roman ignored him as he continued to walk past him.

He looked to go directly to the ring as he looked to address Fatu and his attack last week, but he was stopped by Pearce as he told him that Fatu hadn’t shown up yet. Roman then had a brief interaction with Seth Rollins before The Visionary went out to the ring.

Bron Breakker takes out Seth Rollins to kick off the show!!

Seth Rollins headed to the ring to address his upcoming match with Bron Breakker at WWE Backlash, but he was jumped from behind by his former protege, Bron Breakker.

Breakker attacked Rollins on his way to the ring and continued to assault him at ringside before security, and Adam Pearce separated him from Rollins. Breakker looked like he was heading back, but returned to the ring and delivered one final Spear to Rollins before heading back.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh fight it out once again

Finn Balor was kicked out of The Judgment Day after he inadvertently cost Dominik Mysterio his Intercontinental Championship several weeks back. While the entire group turned on Balor, it was surprising to see McDonagh turn on Finn as well.

Since then, Balor has been fighting with the group, defeating Mysterio at WrestleMania 42 and JD on the RAW after Mania. The two former friends met in the ring once again tonight, with Dominik by JD’s side.

Balor had the advantage early in the match, but a slight distraction from Dom allowed McDonagh to take control of the match. JD dominated the match, and whenever Balor tried to get the upper hand, the younger Mysterio got involved.

Midway through the match, Roxxane Perez came out to the ringside and was standing opposite where Dominik Mysterio was present. She was warned by Balor last week on RAW, and her appearance made the match quite intriguing.

Shortly afterwards, Liv and Raquel came out in JD’s support, and he almost got the win immediately after everyone was at ringside as he hit Balor with a Spanish Fly. Dom tried to get involved in the match once again, but the referee saw him and ejected him from the ringside.

JD tried to capitalize and hit a moonsault, but Balor got his knees up in time. He was about to go for the shotgun dropkick as Liv distracted the referee. She passed the ringside hammer to Roxxane, who used it to hit Balor in the neck, and JD hit him with a headbutt to get the win.

Joe Hendry’s in-ring RAW debut is set for later tonight

The former NXT Champion made his debut on the red brand last week and mocked Logan Paul in his concert, leading him to become a target for The Vision. The group was hanging out backstage as Paul Heyman gave them their orders for the night.

Paul wanted to face Hendry tonight, but Heyman refused, stating that with Gunther gone and Bron already close to suspension after his actions earlier in the night, he can’t afford to lose Logan, as he might be put in jail for what he does to Hendry. Heyman confirmed that instead of Logan, his tag team partner, Austin Theory, will face Hendry tonight.

Penta and Je’Von Evans face Rusev and Ethan Page

The IC Championship has multiple wrestlers after it, with the likes of Je’Von Evans, Rusev, and Ethan Page all vying for a shot at Penta’s title. Ever since the RAW after WrestleMania, Ethan and Rusev have formed an uneasy alliance with each other.

They teamed up tonight to take on Penta and Je’Von, both of whom have been attacked by Rusev in the past. Evans worked together with the WWE IC Champion to take advantage early on in the match. They isolated Page from Rusev and almost earned the win with a Penta Driver on Page.

He kicked out at two before catching his breath and taking control of the match. He tagged Rusev in shortly afterwards, and the Bulgarian Brute continued on the same path. He isolated Penta from Evans and thwarted every attempt Penta made to make the tag.

Penta hit a backstabber to Page and gained some much-needed break as he gave a hot tag to Je’Von, who turned the tide completely in his favour. He tried to take Rusev out with a top rope attack, but Ethan Page pushed him off the top rope to take him out of the match.

Page distracted the referee as Rusev grabbed hold of Penta and hit him with a Uranagi on the table before pushing him into the ring. Ethan picked him up and hit a fisherman’s hook suplex to get the win as the two men celebrated.

Sol Ruca is officially a WWE RAW superstar

Former NXT Women’s North American Champion, Sol Ruca, made her RAW debut on the episode after WrestleMania 42. She challenged Liv Morgan to a match and pushed her to the limit before being attacked by Zaria.

She signed her WWE RAW contract in the ring tonight as Adam Pearce officially welcomed her to the brand. The segment was interrupted by the Women’s IC Champion, Becky Lynch, who felt this should’ve been her segment.

Lynch got in Pearce’s face before Sol Ruca issued a stern warning to the champion. She warned Becky not to interrupt her segment ever again, which prompted Becky to slap Ruca, but she got out of the way.

Becky instead slapped Adam Pearce, who walked away from the ring furiously. Sol Ruca took advantage of the situation and hit Becky with the Sol Ruca to stand tall on her first night as an official WWE RAW superstar.

Joe Hendry gets under Logan Paul’s skin once again

Hendry came out for his match tonight against Austin Theory, but before the match, he had an impromptu in-ring concert. He sang another variation of his song from last week, which spoke about Logan being fired from the promotion.

Paul was furious as he headed to the ring, but was calmed down by Austin Theory and sent him in to get rid of Hendry. The two men began brawling, and Hendry took control of the match early on.

Joe Hendry took Theory out of the ring with a Fallaway Slam, and he was about to get the win before Logan Paul attacked Hendry from behind. Logan and Theory ganged up on Joe Hendry before he was rescued once again.

The Street Profits continue to come after WWE’s The Vision

The Street Profits have been after The Vision ever since they came back to the red brand on the RAW after WrestleMania 42. They came out to rescue Hendry once again tonight and turned the tide in their favor.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford took control of the situation and looked to hit Theory with the Doomsday Device before Bron Breakker came out. Breakker took out both of them before he tried to take them out with a Spear.

However, he was stopped in his tracks by Seth Rollins, and he brawled with Breakker outside. Montez Ford also took out everyone standing at ringside, but that distracted Rollins, allowing Breakker to spear him once again tonight.

Oba Femi’s open challenge began on WWE RAW tonight

Femi defeated Grayson Waller with ease in his first singles match since retiring Brock Lesnar and announced that he is hosting an open challenge for himself on Monday Night RAW.

The first person to enter the challenge was Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and he went face-to-face with The Ruler. Tozawa looked like he would challenge Oba, but asked Otis to step in on his behalf instead.

Oba wrestled the entire match without breaking a sweat and got into a comfortable position early into the match. He ended the segment by lifting Otis on the turnbuckle before hitting him with a Fall From Grace to get the win over the Alpha Academy member.

A major WWE trios match took place tonight

The fight between the two El Grande Americanos has reached to another level, and both of them met in the ring tonight alongside their tag team partners.

El Grande teamed up with Los Americanos while the OG El Grande Americano formed his own group, Los Americanos Hermanos. Both teams faced off in a trios match tonight and had the upper hand at times.

The match was ultimately won by the OG’s Los Americanos Hermanos after the OG El Grande Americano hit a Diving Headbutt on one of Rayo or Bravo to get the win for his side.

Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu come together for the contract signing

Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu came out to the ring in the main event for the contract signing of their World Heavyweight Championship match at Backlash. Before signing the contract, Roman berated Fatu for his actions last week.

He stated that he deserves respect for what he’s done for more than a decade in this promotion, and he demanded respect from Fatu. He questioned Fatu’s decision to use the Tongan Death Grip on him last week, something that’s used only in desperate measures and not something you use on family.

Jacob told Roman that he’s desperate to become champion for his family, following which Reigns told him that he has to worry about the entire Bloodline and not just Jacob’s family.

He claimed that Jacob is beneath him when it comes to the ring, following which he tried to get the Tongan Death Grip once again on Reigns. Roman was prepared for it this time and got out of the move and began brawling with Jacob in the ring.

The two men exchanged blows with each other, and Roman came out on top on two occasions. Fatu tried to catch him in the Death Grip, but Roman got out every time until he was caught after going for the Superman Punch. Fatu almost choked Reigns out and slammed him onto the table before signing the contract and heading out of the ring.
