Tonight marked a new beginning for WWE NXT as this week’s episode was the first one since this past weekend’s Stand and Deliver 2026, which crowned multiple new champions in the promotion.

Both the NXT Men’s and Women’s Championships changed hands at the Premium Live Event, where Tony D’Angelo became the men’s champion and Lola Vice won the women’s.

D’Angleo opened tonight’s show as he became the first-ever NXT Grand Slam champion after defeating Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page at Stand and Deliver.

DarkState crashes the opening WWE NXT segment

He addressed the audience and claimed that after winning her first ever NXT Championship, no one can take it from him now. However, he took Hendry’s name while talking, and he appeared just then.

Joe Hendry walked up to D’Angelo and tried to goad him into a rematch, but before either of them could say more, Ethan Page interrupted the segment, and shortly afterwards, it was Ricky Saints’ turn to come to the ring.

All four of them were arguing about getting a rematch, but DarkState crashed the segment and started wreaking havoc in the ring as security tried to put an end to everything, but failed.

The NXT Interim General Manager, Robert Stone, then called out the entire locker room to separate the brawl between these eight individuals. The brawl ultimately ended when Stone dragged Saints, Hendry, Page, and D’Angelo backstage and told them that they would team up together to face DarkState in an 8-man tag team match.
