WWE NXT Ratings Soar Following No Mercy

Trick Williams Ilja Dragunov WWE NXT

WWE NXT is riding high with a massive increase in viewership following No Mercy.

NXT No Mercy was a pivotal event for WWE’s third brand that featured multiple title changes. While Becky Lynch was able to retain her NXT Women’s Championship in an Extreme Rules match against Tiffany Stratton in the show’s main event, Carmelo Hayes lost his NXT Championship to Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams successfully defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new North American Champion.

Ahead of the October 3rd episode of NXT, it was announced that Williams and Mysterio would go head to head in a rematch for the North American Title. The stakes couldn’t have been higher for Dom Dom going into the match as not only was he looking to regain his beloved championship, Rhea Ripley declared that he shouldn’t bother coming home if he was unable to recapture gold.

In the end, Mysterio was able to defeat Williams, ending his title reign in under a week.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the episode had a total average viewership of 857,000 viewers, up 35% from last week’s 660,000. The show earned a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic, also a massive increase over last week’s 0.16.
