WWE Night Of Champions’ Status Confirmed By Triple H & Nick Khan
WWE Night of Champions 2026 is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For the last few months, there was a dark cloud over the status of the event due to the ongoing conflicts and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Despite that, Saudi Arabian authorities and TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro ascertained that they had no intentions to deviate from the original plans.
Shapiro confirmed that not only Night of Champions but UFC events in the Kingdom would also proceed as planned.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Jonathan Coachman claimed speaking to his source in WWE, who told him that the company’s higher-ups had given wrestlers the choice between going and not going to Saudi Arabia. The report, though, has not been verified by the Stamford promotion.
WWE’s MENA account on Twitter, meanwhile, revealed that the event’s date had been finalized as June 27. In another tweet, Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, a Saudi government department, wrote that tickets to Night of Champions had been sold out.
Triple H & Nick Khan Confirm WWE Moving Ahead With Night Of Champions
WWE recently held a Town Hall meeting with its talent and staff, where Triple H and Nick Khan discussed several matters related to the business, including the upcoming Night of Champions PLE.
The duo informed everyone that they were moving forward with the Riyadh premium live event, as there was no concern within the company about threats in the region.
In addition to Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, TKO will also host UFC Fight Night on June 27 in Azerbaijan.
WWE Announces New Summer Non-Televised Live Events
Following the wrestling promotion’s purchase by TKO in 2023, World Wrestling Entertainment reduced the number of house shows it had been organizing previously.
Live shows were a great chance for the company to put those talents in the spotlight who did not receive screen time on the main show.
With that in mind, it announced 10 live events across the United States as part of the Summer Tour.
- Saturday, July 11: Summer Tour | Las Cruces, N.M., Pan American Center
- Sunday, July 12: Summer Tour | Albuquerque, N.M., The Pit
- Thursday, July 16: Summer Tour | Allentown, Pa., PPL Center
- Saturday, July 25: Summer Tour | Stockton, Calif., Adventist Health Arena
- Sunday, July 26: Summer Tour | Bakersfield, Calif., Dignity Health Arena
- Thursday, July 30: Summer Tour | Springfield, Ill., Bank of Springfield Center
- Thursday, Aug. 6: Summer Tour | Fairfax, Va., EagleBank Arena
- Thursday, Aug. 13: Summer Tour | Manchester, N.H., SNHU Arena
- Saturday, Aug. 29: Summer Tour | Savannah, Ga., Enmarket Arena
- Sunday, Aug. 30: Summer Tour | Charleston, S.C., North Charleston Coliseum
Despite the risks associated with adding more shows to an already packed schedule, WWE leadership is committed to ensuring that the talents do not suffer from burnout, and it plans to strategically balance younger talent alongside established veterans.
